Say Their Names

Breonna Taylor
Ahmed Aubrey
Tony McDade
George Floyd

These are the most recent names on a list that has grown far too long.
These are the names that have garnered national attention.

We say their names.
We say their names for all the victims whose names we do not know.

Project LaFemme was born in an attempt to give space to voices that weren’t being heard.

But you can’t speak if you can’t breathe.
You can’t speak when you’ve been shot.
You can’t speak when you are dead.

We stand with the protestors, with Black Lives Matter, with all people of color, with anyone who is saying “Stop!”

We say their names, but that is not enough.  We have to take action.  White people have to take action.  Speak out.  Donate your time, your money, your privilege.  Tell the people in charge NO MORE.  Support.  Listen.

If you are looking for organizations to support and/or donate to, here are a few ideas:

We are here to enact change.  To support one another. To put an end to the divisive and oppressive policies that perpetuate white supremacy and police brutality.

Please, stop adding names to this list.
